Eric, to answer your question: I found her in a white box from some fancy
mail-order cupcakes. The box had an insert made out of white foam.
In the first photo, the spider is on that insert. The rest of the photos are inside the box itself. The light is the natural light (under the sun, or in the shadow of the box itself)

Unfortunately, these photos were far from perfect. I was in a rush, and was
shooting with the camera handheld, in a very unstable position.
So, I just did the best I could in that situation.


I think you did pretty good. I didn't care as much for 25170 and 25177. The
rest I like. How'd you get her on the white background?
