The lens isn't really needed in the line until the FF camera is launched. So, not a big deal really, unless the camera was too be released at exactly the same time. I hope, for what will be a very expensive lens, that quality control will be improved considerably. Maybe that's the issue.

I suppose it is good that they aren't releasing it until it performs
as it is supposed to, but the delay is still a bit of a black eye.
Might make Ricoh decide not to announce things as early (also maybe
not such a bad thing).

It does make one wonder what area the performance problem is in, however.
