Paul, as you obviously know, these are sharper shots. Same question; prox how far away? Especially like the last which has nice contrast.

(Birds don’t like movement. I find I have to keep the lens at my eye and aimed toward the target to get any decent shots.. After 20 minutes or so, that lens can get quite heavy.} I’ve had to spend a lot of time sitting outside to get the birds used to me being there again. i had quit shooting when I had to care for my wife 24/7, and the birds forgot me. When I first tried to shoot again, they would scatter upon seeing me and not return. They’re starting to become accustomed to my presence again. All at f5.6, ISO 3200 and shutter speeds form 1/250th to 1/640th. The light wasn’t good, but the temperature was moderate, so I could afford to be patient. All handheld at 450mm. http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=18157533&size=lg http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=18157531&size=lg http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=18157529&size=lg http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=18157534&size=lg -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
