Of course nylons are real, and vintage late 40's and early 50's
pre-pantyhose. Silk stockings would have been 30's vintage. That look
is more or less 50's.

IIRC, nylon can be made from coal tar, but silk comes from caterpillars
found mostly in Asia and during WWII became a scarce resource reserved
for the manufacture of parachutes.

Three lights in the most complex glamour style setup I've done to
date. Sheers used to create a giant 6 foot by 9 foot softbox, a 5 foot
stripbox for accenting, and a 7" gridded reflector for highlighting
model's face.
