Hopefully the "I've had it since then and used it just a couple of
times" means it hasn't been sitting completely idle for the whole two years.

Sorry to rain on your parade but the worst that can happen, after
two years of infrequent use, is that the head is at least
partially clagged up. Irrecoverably.  As all three of my inkjets
did.  I would ask to see it working before taking it way.
