Doug, Neewer stuff is basic and cheap, but not all bad in my experience.

I have a couple of their fully manual (no bells and whistles) TT560
flashes, and they are well built and solid performers. I used them
heavily for a year or two and occasionally after that. They just keep
on working, for 4 years now. No complaints. I'd buy more if I needed
flashes.
