If you're trying to turn off auto-ISO, then presumably you want to set a 
particular ISO.
And, if you do that, auto-ISO will indeed be turned off.  You can turn it back 
on again
by choosing "auto" on the ISO selection, rather than 100, or 800, or whatever 
you decide.

What I might have to refer to the manual for is how to set the upper and lower 
limits
for the auto-ISO range, but that's a rather different question.
