I was afraid wax paper might melt onto the sandwich giving me a
different version of the paper towel sticking to it problem.

Wouldn't bother me if I could be sure it was bee's wax & not paraffin,
but most wax paper seems to be made with paraffin now-a-days.

Parchment Paper is quite useful for many purposes. I use it quite often.

Interesting, I've used wax paper, had never run across parchment paper
before

Due to my current limited kitchen facilities I'm eating a lot of

The instructions tell you to wrap the sandwich in a paper towel while
microwaving. I've run into a problem of the paper towel sticking to the
food& leaving little bits of towel that can't be easily scraped off.

This morning, I substituted Parchment Paper for the paper towel. Worked
great. Nothing stuck to the sandwich and it looks like I can reuse the
parchment paper several times* before I'll finally have to discard it.
