Hi Bryan,

I can't help you with the zoom question however I have the 24-90 and I quite 
like it for what it is, I don't know that you'd be too impressed with the 
optical performance of some of the older zooms if this is your reference.

I have the 31, 43 and 77 LTD lenses and I can say that the 31mm has now become 
my defacto standard lens, it's a very nice lens mechanically and optically and 
is nice and compact to boot. I really don't think that anyone could be truly 
disappointed by the 31mm lens.

I really don't care a great deal for the 43mm LTD lens and find that it rarely 
gets used as the 31, 77 combo is very versatile, I can't wait for an ultra-wide 
limited to round off the kit.
