I haven't seen the new 28-70, but compared to the AF35-70 f2.8, its
probably NOT smaller or lighter. :)

I've used it a few times on my ZX-5n body. It works. The focus ring is
wee, but its got a more solid feel than one of the newer FA lenses.

It works in a pinch.

People say its soft, however. I never really use it.. I can't comment.
