I used to like Kodachrome, only used it on special occasions, which probably contributed to it's demise, and I've used a number of film filters for Photoshop etc., which are supposed to duplicate the look.  They don't some are close but none are really perfect, and it's nearly impossible to project an auditorium filling display with anything else that's that cost effective.
