There's a place in the North of France near to where we usually spend the holidays that is known up and down the département for its lavish decoration, including a life-sized mechanical bear near the front door that sways its hips like Elvis and sings Xmas songs. At dusk, the elderly lady running the show takes almost half an hour to plug everything in.
