TLDR: Someone pretends to fall for the scam and convinces the Nigerian
at the other end that in order to send money, he needs the would be
scammer to send him a video of him performing the Monty Python dead
parrot skit.

I just threaten them with erasing their servers. It seems to have
happened enough that it might be a creditable threat. A YouTube search
on that will get some pretty amusing results if you've got some time to
waste.
My dad would respond to phone scammers that he's very busy at the
moment, but if they'd provide their home number he'd be happy to call
them back.
I've had some fun pretending that they caught me in the middle of a
rather private act.
