DTE Energy, the utility company that provides my electricity, has pledged an 80% reduction in CO2 and methane emissions by 2040. Most of that will be achieved by transitioning to wind and solar, but energy efficiency measures like those Bill describes are a big part of it as well. Much of the drilling in the US is aimed at providing LPG for export.
