I am jst starting to explore the photo abilities of my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Some of mu images come out at .heic files.  While I edit most of my iPhone
images on the phone, when I tried to edit some of the .heic images on
PhotoShop, it would not load them.  What is an .heic file, and how do you
process them?
