Thanks John. Now I understand why PJ says you're buying a third of a K-70!

I assume there's a motor in the adapter (drawing power from the camera).
The first two pictures (the lens-facing side) show a screw-drive shaft,
and also the two contacts that could provide power and digital signals
for newer AF lenses, and may even provide power for power zoom lenses!
I'd guess there would also need to be a microprocessor to translate
between the various signalling protocols, but that's not going to add
a whole lot to the cost.

How on earth is screw drive AF possible?

I've never seen one so expensive before, but then again I've never seen
an adapter that also adapts screw drive AF either.
I kind of doubt that you'll find anything cheaper that actually will
auto focus a K mount lens on a mirrorless body.?? You'll be buying about
a third of the working bits of a K-70.

To use my lenses on an e-mount body is there a less-expensive yet
full-featured adapter alternative to the Monster?
