My first pentax was the 1000 with th standard recommended combo of
lenses to cover everything... 50,28,135 the 28mm instead of the 35mm
was suggeted to me but I can't remember who clue me about it..it was a
great decision. I still have that 28mm I bought in 1975.

1967!
That was what I bought back then, the S1A, with bellows and slide copier.
I was stationed in Italy with a guy in security who'd make regular trips to
Japan and I tasked him to bring me all that stuff on one trip, which he
did, and I think I didn't pay a whole lot for it - much less than for a
Honeywell-branded spotty, at any rate.
