Divers have a spot offshore South Maui, they call Turtle Town, where one
can swim with sea turtles that gather there to be serviced by "cleaner
fish'' on the sandy bottom of the bay.  If that is Turtle town, Ho'okipa
Beach must be Turtle City, based on the number that gather there to bask in
the sun. The crowd of turtles can be appreciated only from the viewpoint
atop the cliff to the east of the beach (on the fabled Road to Hana):
