Thanks for the link. I will be trying the iPad + LR Mobile on this next trip, will run through a few practice sessions beforehand to try to develop confidence in the workflow.
Back story: Over the last 10-20-30 years I have been able to do a lot of travel. Until sorely after retirement in 2010 much of that was in conjunction with business trips. Over time I have developed strategies for taking/storing/processing images. Many of the strategies depended on having my laptop along. A few trips without, but mostly with. And I have developed a reasonably slim packing list. But larger camera bodies, more lenses, more other devices that need chargers… The laptop has become one item that I need to jettison. Because Canadian trains. Our travel typically has involved a 2-3 leg flight to somewhere, maybe some local train travel (e.g., Barcelona to Paris), usually some time aboard a cruise ship. Our upcoming trip is somewhat different. A 2-leg flight to Toronto, a few days later we board a train for a 4-day trip to Vancouver British Columbia, and then on from there. The train sleeper compartment is small, minimal luggage allowed, and I am trying to minimize the amount of electronic & camera gear. I can get by with a smallish shoulder bag unless I take the laptop, in which case I need to use my backpack… I think this is what is sometimes referred to as a “first world problem.” Somehow I will manage to struggle through. 🤓 Stan > On Jul 27, 2023, at 3:26 AM, Bob W PDML <pdm...@icloud.com> wrote: > > > >> On 26 Jul 2023, at 22:20, Stanley Halpin <s...@stans-photography.info> wrote: >> >> […] >> I do not want to synch my images to Adobe Cloud, I just want to manage my >> backing up and exporting/sharing on my own. > > Then you can’t use LR CC, simple as that.
