We decided to drive north in the Kruger Park yesterday. Unfortunately it turned out to be a very hot, uncomfortable day. The first image is a distant shot at 300mm of a Maribou Stork apparently arguing with it's shadow at Pioneer Dam below Mopani Camp where we had lunch. With the very dry prevailing conditions, the Dam is a magnet for parched wildlife. Many Elephants, Wildebeest, Zebras & Impalas were in evidence with a smattering of others plus a lot of waterfowl. The other image (Scroll R) is of Zebras drinking from a waterhole dug by Elephants in a riverbed. Elephants have the advantage of a trunk!
