The Silent mode is said to be more silent than any leica in operation! Even though it's motorised! I have a great review in .txt of the Hexar somewhere on my disk, I could send it to the interested (I don't remember the URL I leeched it from), it's too long for posting on list. It includes how to set the "secret" (read: stupid unclear manual even worse than automatic babelfish translation) functions. However, it also reverts to default settings once you turn it off (like silent mode reverting to normal mode). Email me who is interested in the review.
