Well, it could be like that combo (Mz-S/AF360FGZ) the P-TTL which I actually have too. I know it's not a focus assist, as it actually has an IR beam (Funny how they put it on a lowly 2.0M and not the MZ-5n, the MZ-S, etc. I don't know if the 'user friendly' MZ models have it.)
It doesn't affect the exposure any. It takes nice little pictures for what it cost. I was more worried about it being defect, but my experience with the Pentax Rep. tells me it's not. I just don't like it using the battery power if it isn't doing anything, and it _appears_ to be as strong a flash as the ?main? one. As you can guess, the manual does not talk about this at all. So being a P-TTL could be it. I didn't think of that. Thanks Bill! (still don't like it eating batteries tho :)) On another topic, I see users have pictures up. How/Can I do this? Oh ya, and is there anyone in London, ON, Can in this list? I'm the only Pentax user around it seems :) Brad Dobo > > Could it possibly use the same flash system as the MZ-S/AF360FGZ combo? > In > > that case there are 2 flashes, the first to tell the camera what setting > to > > use and the second to make the exposure. > > > > Bill KG4LOV > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Or, it could be focus assist.
