I'll try the cleaning and let you know Hi, Brother Albano: I just popped the prism off my 6x7. Mine has significant up and down play in the mounting, and can be pushed down 2 or 3 millimeters from its resting position. I believe this is normal, as my camera was like this from the get go. The electrical contacts are on the back of the prism, more or less under the eyepiece. The protrude perhaps 3mm (I don't have a micrometer), and are held out by fairly strong springs. I suspect you are right, and your metering problem is the mechanical contact between prism and body. Here is what I would try: First, clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. The prism contacts appear to be less prone to oxidization than the body contacts. Also, check and make sure that the spring loaded prism contacts are in fact actively sprung. Not knowing the internal construction of the contacts, it is possible that the cotact point is a sliding mechanical contact rather than a hard soldered contact. I would "exercise" the contacts a bit by pressing them flat to the housing and releasing them, on the off chance that they might be cleanable by this method. You can see the contact pins with the prism mounted, so you should be able to tell if they are making contact or not.
