For what it's worth, I've had a Z-lp since February, and I feel that it is
user friendly. I must admit that I had to read the instructions a couple of
times and compare them with the Z-1p advertising brochure in some instances
to better understand some of the concepts (since I am relatively new to
photography). I totally enjoy using the camera, and have had very good
results with it in my nature photography. Having never used the MZ-S, I
can't compare the two, however. I sometimes start to feel bad when I hear
that Pentax will sometime down the road no longer support this camera, and
also when people put down the camera, but then I think, "So what, it's my
camera, it does a great job for me and I really enjoy using it. I don't
care what anyone else says, I am going to continue using it until it stops
working and can no longer be repaired which, hopefully, will be a long time
from now." I sometimes wonder why people put down someone else's camera or
equipment. It's the end result - their photos, that count. From looking at
the User's Gallery each month, there's absolutely fantastic shots from all
types and models of Pentax cameras.

friendly and easy to master, the only one who feels that MZ-S is not as good
as it could and should have been. I wonder if all those loads of user's good
opinions on Z-1p written on the Photography Review, Camera Review, PhotoZone
and the similar sites are worth nothing.
