I haven't tried Heliopan filters, but I do have a B+W UV filter. I stopped using it (actually, I put it on a lens I rarely use), since it reflects light like window glass. Multi-coated B+W filters may be better, but I don't think they're available in Canada.
Now I have Pentax UV filters on the rest of my lenses, which gives me consistent color rendition and top performance because they're Super-Multi-Coated, which complements the SMC lenses nicely. To top it off, Pentax filters aren't that expensive, at least compared to other multi-coated filters. However, the range of filter types may not be that extensive. See if they have what you need.
