Now just hold on! After that disappointing digital experience with the Nikon you didn't buy the Pentax DSLR, and bought the Nikon anyway?!? I think that you may need more than aluminum foil. The lens release isn't so bad. Hold the camera so you depress it with the middle finger of your left hand (you are "behind" the camera). It's the difference in direction that the lens has to be rotated to mount and dismount it that took longer to get used to. At least the focus is the same direction.
BR From: John Mustarde I wore my aluminum foil hat to the camera store, and damned if they didn't sell me a Nikon D100. Said it complemented my headgear perfectly. When I complained the lens release was on the wrong side, they said it was okay because it had been that way forever. I loved that logic so much I bought a Nikon lens, too, and made a hefty donation to the local Nikon homeless shelter. Later this evening I'm going to find the film door on this danged camera if it's the last thing I do. But first I gotta go to the store and get more foil, 'cause my hat wilted in the Arizona heat. -- John Mustarde www.photolin.com
