It isn't accurate. PLUG is both the Portland Linux/Unix Group _AND_
the Portland Linux User Group. When PLUG decided to adopt the
Linux/Unix name it was with the understanding that both names would
still apply. Indeed, the PLUG Clinic announcements have never
discontinued using "Portland Linux User Group".

If you ask most people who consider themselves PLUG members what they
think PLUG stands for, "Portland Linux User Group" is the most likely
reply.
Unfortunately I can not help you, that is up to the founders. I have
always know PDXLUG as the Portland Linux Users Group and PLUG as the above.
Obviously the OSCON thing is not good but both groups have a pretty
strong following. I am not really sure what could be done about it.
