My goal here has been to keep the record straight.  Mostly, I have
just been responding to people's misunderstanding.  If it is
repetitive it is only because of persistent misunderstanding.

I'd just note here that my contributions to this thread amount to
about 1/10 of the volume.  The noise is mostly (9/10th on a
per-article volume basis, probably more on a per-line basis) emanating
from other sources.  I would hope that you'd apply your ban-hammer on
some reasonable basis.
