Len- A likely cause it that you have built new footprints or modified them so that the footprint primitives are not near the component reference. If you redefine the reference for these parts, then update the PCB from the library, you'll probably see all the parts snap to where they should be.

Another way to move a part that is not on screen is to set the browser for components, choose the part from the list, click the edit button then modify the X and Y coordinates as necessary.

Hi

This is the first time I've encountered this one.  Im using Protel99SE (SP6) on a Windows 2000 system, and never seen this before...

When doing a "Design Update" to get from the schematic world to the PCB layout, all the parts are being placed off-board to the right, as usual, but some of them are so low that it's impossible to scroll down that far.  The scroll bar on the right of the raster looks like I should be able to scroll down (about 1/2" of space there), but it seems impossible to get there.  I've tried all the usual... zoom fit/zoom document, and all the pushbuttons I can find, but no good.

Has anyone else ever encountered this?

Wierd.

Thanks,
Len
