Hi all

can someone please (re)explain to me about "Orcad Ports"
in 99SE Tools Prefs

I have schematic design that came from DXP saved back to
99SE

a lot (but not all) of the ports were not attached to their wires

i made them bigger and smaller as needed and all was well

now some days later opening the file on another machine
the ports are all mis-sized again, this time usually too long
and overlapping the net label

i remembered this was maybe "Orcad Ports"

it was checked on this machine

i unchecked it, no change

saved files, restarted protel, no change

any clues why they jump around in size, aparently when working from different machines ?

Hi Dennis,

Typically we use 0.001" base material, 1oz Rolled Annealed copper with a
0.001" coverlay on all 'standard' build flexibles.

I find the Minco Flex Design Guide to be most helpful:
http://www.minco.com/pdf/aa24.pdf

There's other good documents on their Support page, too:

Cheers,

TC
