I've chopped the rest of the digest out of my reply to save bandwidth...

If your top & bottom layer gerbers contain everything (pads, traces, copper
shapes and so on) you only need to import

* Top Layer
* Bottom Layer
* Drill files
* IPC-D-356A

I'm still not anywhere near the desktop with DXP2 installed, sorry, but I
don't think I have the Adjacency Information box checked either.

I did find the Altium Tutorial, though - it's TU101.

Thanks for the tips - I for one will start to play with it.  Any pointers as
to the options ?  I'm using 99SE right now, and choosing (it's only a
2-layer board)

* IPC-D-356A
* Top Layer
* Bottom Layer
* Board outline -> mechanical layer with the board outline
* Conductor Traces

I don't have the Adjacency Information box checked ...
