Stefan,
besides Ian's suggested server, you can import to Partfields using the
built in "Tools", "Database Links...". There are two limitations on this, you
can only import from a DBIII or DBIV database and Protel will only directly
import to the partfields, not footprints or other schematic symbol fields. To
get around the limitation stopping you from importing to other fields, there is
a server that will move data from a partfield to the other fields. It is
available at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/protel-users/files/
You may have to subscribe to the Yahoo group "Protel-Users" to access
the files. The server you are looking for is called "Addon_Servers_99SE_Sp6"
written by Geoff Harland on Feb 8 2001. It has help files and install
instructions included with the server.
This server will copy data from any partfield to most other fields in a
schematic symbol. I used it for years at my last employer, no problems that I
can report with it's operation.
Just another option for you.
Sincerely,

Hallo all,
Does anybody know a way for Protel99SE to update the following part fields?
- Part Type
- Designator
- Footprint
- Description
- Part Fields
Does 99SE have the ability to import an Excel-Sheet with all those
information and updating its parts???
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Stefan.
