In addition, there are many ways to do it, but I use mechanical layers for designators and comments, and diferentiate between top and bottom designators and comments. In that way Ican choose exactly what to print and how, without hiding or changing anything whenever I want to print.

What is the best way to create assembly diagrams for the bottom layer?

I would like to print out the component outlines and designators with a
bottom view not a BottomLayer view.

Thanks,

 Brad.
