Hi Peter, The way I do it is open it in Camtastic and export them as GBR (if they haven't been exported from Camtastic in the first place), then I run them through a Camtastic to P99SE gerber converter that someone from this forum wrote a while ago (?), which 'massages' the gerbers into Protel's picky format.
Then open a new PCB in Protel and import your Gerbers into that. I can send you the converter program if you wish...
