Yeah,
I know, I have read the same complaint a number of times both on this
forum and the DXP forum. However, across two companies and the last 6 years of
constantly using Protel P99SE, I haven't had it default to A4 size even once.
It either comes up on Letter or it may come up on 11 x 17/Tabloid if that was
what I last set it to for a similar print function.
My suggestion was not that it was just the driver, that would mean it
'should' also behave the same way with other apps but rather a combination of
the driver and something in Protel's code.
Over the whole time I have used Protel I have always been connected to HP laser
printers, 5000 or various 5 series printers.

Hmm... I don't think my particular problem is with the Windows Drivers. It
only happens in Protel. There has to be a global default setting somewhere,
but I have yet to find it. I set my templates up as "B" size explicitly and
whenever I turn my back the dammed Aussie POS defaults back to A4 or
something equally unpleasant.

:(
