'Old Limit' here includes the version with Office 2003, the 32k is
referring to the version currently under development.  As well as the 1k
characters per cell there's also a 255 character limit on copied cells,
e.g. if you make a copy of a sheet with over 255 characters in any cell,
only the first 255 get copied.  We've been caught out by both of these
recently!
