is of much value to me.  It is also possible for some attribute of a 
component
that may be on a non-displayed layer to be WAY away from the rest of the 
part.
Fixing parts that have an attribute laying in the minus territory can be 
a problem.
Select all may not actually select it if it is in that region. One quick 
fix may be
to select all and move it to +10000,+10000 so that everything is within 
range.
Often when you select an individual component, the non-displayed attributes
will show up, too.  That may allow you to determine the part that is 
fouled up.
