Hi Tino,

there are some more exceptions than just military products, e.g. telecom
infrastructure products.
Maybe you could preproduce a certain amount of boards? Cause all products
which have been produced before June 2006 maybe sold after that date, even
if they don't comply to the ROHS directive. If your european customers
accept that ......

Mit freundlichem Gruß
Kind regards

Thema: [PEDA] RoHS, are there extensions for one part?

I wanted to confirm something about RoHS.
My design is RoHS compliant except for one Cypress chip that I have. The
chip is several years old and I cannot find a lead free version.

The RoHS deadline is 06/01/2006 and I want to confirm that there are no
extensions that I can get (if it is not a military product).
Is there some paperwork for extensions that I can fill out so that I can
sell this product Europe?

- Tino
