Airline deregulation

According to a study done by Virginia-based consultant Morten Beyer and 
Associates about five years ago, airline deregulation has resulted in more 
than 160 cities and towns across the nation losing all air carrier service.  
In addition, one-third of all cities surveyed reported a subsequent 
curtailment of  local economic activity.
