A political economy either takes the perspective of those who must sell their labor power or the perspective of those who purchase that labor power. All political economys will make this choice willy-nilly.

I don't think so.

Perhaps you can give a reference to the literature that makes both
of these arguments.  (Genuine argments, that is, with an attempt
to appeal to reason and evidence, and not just ideology.  That is,
with an attempt to be objective).
