Surely there are cultural differences? Someone like Lloyd "God's work"
Blankfein seems quite happy to damage the US economy, humiliate the
Federal government etc to increase his personal profits. I get the
impression that the Chinese elite are much less likely to do anything
to blemish their national glory for individual motives (or maybe the
individual incentives in the CCP are set up that way...) Of course it
is another story that "national glory" has nothing to do with the
well-being of the people...
