Recently, at the time of the visit of US VP Joseph Biden to Israel,
the latter's government decided to insult both him and the US
government by announcing deepening of its conquest and colonization of
East Jerusalem. If the US government doesn't respond in some
substantive way and if Israel's government doesn't retreat in some
significant way (such as canceling the construction project), won't
the latter have shown who's boss in this relationship? what is the US
foreign-policy elite doing besides talk? will Obama cave? or has he
done so already?

(Is it time for the Palestinians to simply surrender to Israel (giving
up the idea of a separate state and the two-state "solution") and then
struggle to win civil rights within the Israeli political system, as
with the South African struggle against apartheid?)
