What grounds are there for your asserting such an astounding "fact?"
A commodity, as Marx teaches, is a repository of value.
Where shall we learn of such a commodity-producing society without
monetarily mediated exchange, without a monetary measure of value?

CB: You are correct. He discusses historical examples of exchange of
goods and services in kind, but they are not commodities.
