as I've said before, the "peak oil" hypothesis doesn't work if we only
look at the market price of oil and other petrochemicals (and purely
private costs). It looks like it does work if we take into account the
_true_ price of oil etc., bringing in the costs of the "external
effects" (of fracking, etc.)
