I am not exactly sure we are focused on the same topic. You are a liberal trying to put pressure on the USA to stay out of Syria. That's the goal of some Tea Party groups as well. While opposing Obomber, I am also interested in defending the Syria revolution that has been slandered widely by "peace" advocates such as Phyllis Bennis, Howard Kucinich, et al who have no problem with MIG's firing rockets into apartment buildings. That is what the article addressed. You, like most peace activists I am acquainted with, know as much about the Syrian class struggle as I do about ballroom dancing.
