One need only change the dates (a relatively trivial matter) in a number of
books and articles published in the 1950s or '60s. Understanding capitalism
does not include being able to say _when_ X will happen; only that X _will_
or _must_ happen.

Weird, I gave Krugman a copy of The Confiscation of American Prosperity from
Right Wing Extremism and Economic Ideology to the Next Great Depression,
published in October 2007.  I told him he might look at a review that
compared it favorably to one of his.  I never heard from him.

That's a line from a Krugman column from 2009, essentially repeated in
today's (4/17/15) Krugman column.

It seems that a search of PEN-L archives would put the lie to that.  A
number on Pen-l saw it coming and so posted to the list.
