Maybe the apt comparison of Imperialism 2015 is not to early 20th Century monopoly colonialism, but earlier SETTLER colonialism of the era of Primitive Accumulation. The US military has SETTLER military occupations around the whole world. Even Germany has a US settler military occupations.
