Oh bullshit. The U.S. lost the War of 1812 for the primary reason that the populace did not hate each other. Jefferson or some other at-the-helm idiot said it was "ours but for the marching." Then they tried to march. And lost. (And Tecumseh lost his life in the doing.) It turns out that the people (loyalists or not) were so closely associated, the war was lost. It was only the English and Yanqui brass fighting. That is why I still look across Lake Ontario and see my sisters and brothers in New York and say: "I love Irv Weinstein." Ken.
