What's good about the new MaxSpeak design (at
<www.inkworkswell.com/Max/Maxdoo/index.html>) is that all items on
the right have the same width, so they line up more neatly than in
the previous design. Also, the Adam Smith quote fits more nicely
into the box for the title this time (in the old design, viewed
through Netscape 7.02, the line for "Adam Smith, The Theory of Moral
Sentiments" overlapped with the bottom border of the box).

I don't care for the tan background in the new design.

The image of the microphone in the top left corner in the new design
is rather big, way bigger than the microphone in the old one. The
font for the title in the new design is harder-edged than the one in
the old one. All corners of all boxes are sharp in the new design
(in the old design, the bottom corners of the title box were
rounded). Combined, these three changes (despite the tan background)
make the new-model blog look sterner and squarer than the old one.

One thing that doesn't seem to have changed but that the designers
might change (if they can) is speed. Alexa comments on MaxSpeak's
speed: "Very Slow Avg Load Time: 12.9 Seconds"
(<http://www.alexa.com/data/details/?url=www.maxspeak.org/mt/>). If
it could be made to load faster, we'll all appreciate it.
