"When Irving Fisher wrote his 1892 dissertation, he constructed a remarkable machine equipped with pumps, wheels, levers and pipes in order to illustrate his price theory - see here for pictures of his draft and his first and second prototypes." [http://cepa.newschool.edu/het/profiles/fisher.htm]
does anyone know about this machine? I once saw Abba Lerner's Keynesian macroeconomic hydraulic machine (it suffered from leakages) but I've never heard of Fisher's. -- Jim Devine / "The decadent international but individualistic capitalism in the hands of which we found ourselves after the war is not a success. It is not intelligent. It is not beautiful. It is not just. It is not virtuous. And it doesn't deliver the goods." -- John Maynard Keynes.
